Helen A. Caron
New Windsor, NY

Helen A. Caron of New Windsor, a homemaker, employee for many years at Newburgh Laundry and lifelong resident of the area, died Wednesday, July 22, 1998, in Sylcox Health Care Center in Newburgh. She was 87.

The daughter of the late John and Mary Pecka, she was born Oct. 3, 1910, in New Windsor.

She was the widow of Edward C. Caron, Sr., who died Dec. 17, 1968.

Mrs. Caron was retired from the Ladies Auxilliary of the Quassaick Fire Co. of New Windsor and member of the National Slovack Association.

Survivors include two daughters, Rose Stanford and Bertha Traver, both of New Windsor; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Caron of Marlboro; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sons, Edward C. Caron Jr. and Aldred Caron.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Friday, July 24, at DiDonato Funeral Home, Rt. 9W, Marlboro. The cremains of her son, Edward C. Caron Jr. will be present during the visitation.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 25, at the funeral home. Father Bill Scafidi will officiate.

Burial will be held Saturday, July 25, in Calvary Cemtery
