Honest Tea

I love Honest Tea brand ice teas. In a world of overly sweetened, bland tasting bottled ice teas, Honest Tea stands out like a beacon of light. If you haven't had this treat yet, go to their website, find the closest store near you that carries, them, and go get them. Right now! I'll wait.
Right now I'm drinking "Lori's Lemon Tea", an organic black tea with lemon. The label warns that it's a tad sweet, and it does have a few more calories than most of their other teas. However, the whole 16 oz bottle still comes in at about 60 calories total. The iced tea that I used to buy came in at 140 calories per 16 oz bottle. And the Honest Tea brand actually tastes like tea with just a bit of sugar.
If you're worried about price, I wouldn't worry too much. Most of the places at which I have purchased the tea have sold it at a price comparable to other bottled beverages. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the Whole Foods nearby sells it for $1.29 a bottle. They recently had a sale of $.99 a bottle and I stocked up a bit.
What I really wish they could do, and I'm not sure if they can, is team up with schools and see if the product will sell there, especially in high schools. While not sugar free, I doubt most parents would get as upset about this brand. Especially since many of the flavors are under 40 calories per bottle. The only potential downside is that they bottle it is glass bottles and I know that the high school where my mother works doesn't allow glass bottles.
Well, I'm going to go back to enjoying my great beverage, and I really do hope that you give them a try sometime soon. And if hot tea is more your thing, they sell tea bags in a bunch of different flavors. While obviously not as good as loose tea leaves, they are still pretty hard to beat. For instance, their chai is the only one I've found that I really like because it doesn't get as bitter as most of the others if you find yourself pulled away from the cup while it is steeping.
