Pregnant student defies graduation ban[CNN - Education]
This really upsets me. Essentially a girl in a Catholic high school got pregnant and, because it's a Catholic school, she was not allowed to walk with her class on graduation day. While I find such a decision by the school distasteful, they are free to make rules relevant to their faith. But such rules at least should be applied fairly between the genders. In this case, they punished the teenage girl and not the father of the baby, who was also a senior in the same school. Are they really trying to say boys have no control over their urges and, so, can't be punished for transgressions?
