Free T-Mobile Hotspot Access

The sites/tracy.hurleyit.com/files/img_thumbnails is not writeable

Personally, I have always thought that T-Mobile hotspot access should be free for existing T-Mobile customers. Or even free only to those existing T-Mobile customers who pay through the nose for a full data plans on their phones or PDA’s. I plunk down a good $70 per month for cell service including unlimited data via my Treo 600, and was kind of irked that when I needed to tap into a T-Mobile Hotspot in Miami this past weekend, and it cost me $9.95/day. Had I needed it for a longer period of time, I could have signed up for the monthly rate of $19.99. And mind you, that $20/month was the special T-Mobile customer rate. It is normally $29.95. Well, looks like there is some change on the horizon. At least temporarily, and on the weekends. Apparently, T-Mobile, for a limited time, is going to offer free hotspot access to existing T-Mobile customers on the weekends. According to the fine print, the weekends run Saturday through Monday. The Free Weekends promotion allows T-Mobile USA mobile phone customers the ability to access T-Mobile HotSpot Wi-Fi Internet service on the weekends for no charge. In order to participate in the Free Weekends promotion, T-Mobile phone customers must have an active post-paid or pre-paid voice or data account with SMS capabilities. This is a limited time promotion and provides participating customers with unlimited Wi-Fi access between 12 am EST Saturday to 3 am EST Monday at all U.S. T-Mobile HotSpot locations. Not bad, but I could have used this last weekend. Here is the link to the promo.

  • I don't have any links offhand, just my own experience. Frameworks are fine except you generally have to write yet another comments system. — 16 years 1 week ago
