Riffing on Pete Caputa’s “own my sidebar for $150” idea, I am going to take it one step further. I am offering advertisers the ability to completely take over my entire site. For one month (or more if you so desire), you can brand my entire site. I will remove all Adsense ads, Blogads, banners, everything, and replace it with only banners, images, links, and whatever else you want, pimping your brand out to my users. I will even give you the header graphic (replacing my lovely mug), and the site background image, as well any other spots within reason that you come up with and want to take over. The only thing(s) that you cannot influence, are the actual posts, comments, and other site content. The rest is yours for the taking. I threw together a mock up of what it would look like if someone like Sirius took over the site (which they should, since I get an ass pant-load of search traffic from people looking for Sirius). The answer is between 1,000 and 1,500 per day, and that trend is on a steady increase over the past several months. So you are looking at roughly 30,000 unique visitors, many of whom return daily, most of which come from the US, and most of whom are “presumably” interested in things like music, technology, advertising, pop culture, humor, sports, and just general randomness. As far as performance, via ads like Google Adsense, Blogads, and others that I track, the click-through rate was a robust 3-3.5% in January. Not too shabby. So what will this cost you? I am offering this site takeover for $1,000/month, $750/month if you do 3 or more months. Remember, you run the site. No other brands or ads interfering, steadily rising traffic, strong click-through rates, and I am open to any additional branding ideas you have, so bring it on.
