Mildred E Abramson Married to Frederick Miller

Mildred Estelle Abramson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Abramson of Pencil Hill, New Paltz, became the bride of Frederick Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Miller of South Ohioville Road, New Paltz at a double ring ceremony on Saturday, June 25, 1955 at 4:00 p.m. in the New Paltz Methodist Church. Reverend Willett Porter officiated.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white slipper satin with lace, peter pan collar, fitted bodice with lace covered buttons down the back, full circular skirt ending in a train, long lace sleeves ending in points over the wrists, french silk illusion veil gathered to a headpiece of pearls and sequins.

The maid of honor, Joyce Ellis, friend of the bride, wore a floor length orchid gown of lace and net with picture hat to match and carried a colonial bouquet of yellow roses.

The bridesmaids, Jean and Mary Miller, sisters of the bridegroom, wore yellow lace and net gowns with heart-shaped crown headpieces to match and carried colonial bouquets of pink roses.

The best man was Charles Boughton of Kingston, friend of the bridegroom. The ushers were Kenneth Abramson, brother of the bride, and Nicholas Rizzotto, cousin of the bridgegroom of Wallkill.

The bride's mother wore a street length dress of irridescent silk over irridescent taffeta with pink accessories and a corsage of pink roses.

The groom's mother wore a street length dress of light blue lace and net with navy accessories and a corsage of pink roses.

The reception was held at Ireland Corners Hotel.
