William Puetz Sr

William Puetz Sr., 62, of 36 Hasbrouck St. died suddenly at his home on Sunday (April 13, 1958).

A retired contractor, he was born in New York city on Feb. 18, 1896, son of the late Fred and Sybillia Puetz and was married to the former Emma Helene Fillmer, who is deceased.

A veteran of service with the Navy in World War I, he was a member of the Charles Kramer Post, VFW; of Hunts Point, N.Y.

Among survivors are his two sons, William Puetz Jr. of Newburgh and George Puetz of Marlboro; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Amundsen and Mrs. Gloria Vradenburgh of Newburgh; 18 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Carson of St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Francis Berka of Long Island; one brother, Fred Puetz of the Bronx; two brothers-in-law, Carl Fillmer of Savilton and Rudolf Fillmer of Oak Ridge, N.J.

Funeral Services will be held at the Christ Lutheran Church on Wednesday at 2 p.m. when the Rev. John W. Kiahn will officiate.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery by John Sloane White.
