James Davis Sr.
NEW WINDSOR - James H. Davis Sr., 59, of Coffee Avenue, New Windsor, husband of Ruth Lent Davis, died at St. Luke's Hospital on Sunday (Jan. 21, 1973) after a brief illness.
Born in Clintondale, Feb. 17, 1913, the son of the late William H. and Irene Rhodes Davis, he had lived in Newburgh for 30 years.
Mr. Davis was formerly employed by the A. C. Smith Company of Newburgh.
Besides his widow, survivors are: four sons, Richard in Army in California, Ronald and James Jr. of New Windsor and William Davis of Walden; three daughters, Mrs. William E. (Florence) Bowman of Newburgh, Mrs. William (Dorothy) Stalters of Stony Point and Miss Dona Davis at home; also 14 grandchildren.
