Obituary: William Bowman

WILLIAM R. BOWMAN Sr. Wallkill, N.Y. William R. Bowman Sr. of Wallkill, retired from New York State Bridge Maintenance, entered into rest Saturday, June 9, 2001, at home. He was 67. The son of Arthur and Elizabeth Cleary Bowman, he was born October 10, 1933 in Wallkill. He was a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Florence Davis Bowman at home; four sons, William Bowman Jr. of New Windsor, Richard Bowman of Middletown, Michael Bowman of New Windsor, David Bowman of Newburgh; one daughter, Colleen White of New Windsor, two brothers, Donald Bowman and Joseph Bowman; two sisters, Deloris Smith and Dorothy Tester; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. A Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 14, at Cedar Hill Mausoleum. Entombment will be in Cedar Hill Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Hospice of Orange, 800 Stonybrook Ct., Newburgh, N.Y. 12550. Arrangements were made by Doulin Newburgh Funeral Home Inc.
